Yeah....so i need help. I love having different varieties. I want some color or design. I just need more than just a plain saddle. Got any ideas? Thanks in advance. EASY 10 POINTS!
Of corse i will look into how the saddle is made. I do want it to be comfort for both the horse and rider, but i just want something different.

And don't answer my question if you don't want to. Some of you are just complaining that i should be safe(i am) and shouldn't have cute saddles. Trust me...i would never get a saddle that would hurt a horse....and me.

Well lets just say--im glad someone is intrested in color. Yes i compete at a national level but my color is pink.

http://www.trinitytack.com/OstrichSaddles.htm those are a variety of colors. At a good price too! and these. http://www.trinitytack.com/AbettaOstrichSaddles.htm

But personally I'd reccommend this because of the quality of the leather, and the maker has quite a good name http://www.chicksaddlery.com/page/CDS/PROD/COOK/BC2285. I have ha this saddle for three years and its like new. I love how it rides. Fits all my hortses arabs-mustangs-thoroughbreds-quarterhorses&paints

Barrel Racing Saddles?!?

July 28, 2010

i am 12 years old and i want a barrel saddle for my quarter horse mare, No i don't barrel race, but i plan to when i am older. I will have to work to get the saddle because my parents aren't really horse people. And they said they aren't going to put anymore money into horse tack. We have 2 horses and 1 saddle and 1 bridle and 1 saddle pad. My sister just got a new horse so (she) will be getting a saddle not me. i get 50 dollars for my birthday in december + 25 dollars from 2 grandmas. It will be a couple years before i get enough money but i want it so bad i will wait. Should i ask for only money for christmas because they won't get any horse tack. Or maybe some money and horse treats? What do you think of these saddles?

Thank You!!!!

I love my Billy Cook racer...Just make sure it says "Billy Cook Maker", if it doesn't its a knock-off. I don't particularly like the one pictured though, too much rough out to take care of. Rough out is good on barrel saddle on the stirrup fenders because it helps ya stick in the saddle better. If you are not use to riding rough out though it will take a while and some saddle sores (insides of your knees) before you break it in. I just don't like the rough out skirt in the one pictured. Definitely make sure the saddle will fit you horse correctly..If ordered online you make want to request a trial period for fitting purposes? Don't be afraid to search used either, you can get some better quality used sometimes for the same price as a cheaply made new saddle. Also make sure you know what the saddle tree is made out of and make sure you check the tree to make sure it is not broken(especially if buying used).

Good luck! I love your determination to get what you want and that you are taking the time to research as well! Check out the link..Lots of barrel saddle reviews :)
